Oxygen & Fuel Gases Mixed Welding

Oxyfuel welding or OFW like in question is part of a group of welding processes to join the metal through the use of flare or fuel gas flame. This can be done with or without the pressure and can be used with a filler metal or not. Type of welding that occurs when the process used to use fuel gas and oxygen as the heating mechanism. Base metal is melted using the tip of the welding flame torche. Oxygen and fuel gases are mixed in a welding assembly within the mixing chamber. A pool of liquid is created through the use of filler metal and the edge of the plate (when the filler material is used). Both plate and filler metal will be mixed in the pool. When they cool they formed together as one piece.

There are basically four ways that this process is done: Oxyhydrogen welding, Oxyacetylene welding, air-acetylene welding and gas welding pressure. Air-acetylene welding is used in a smaller capacity than the three other processes.

Welding process has several advantages:

- This is a process that the welder can control the level of heat put into the process of oxidation in the welding environment.
- Welders can also control the temperature in the weld zone.
- They can control the size of the beads and how much of a pool of viscosity to be present in the weld filler metal is added as a single and far form the source of heating.
- OFW can be used to weld some kind of thin sheet metal covers, pipe and several smaller tubes. They are more cost effective when used in this section is smaller than the section thickness.

Welders are most able to afford the equipment necessary for Oxyfuel welding because it is cheaper than other methods. The tools can be used in a variety of settings as a portable and versatile. It can be sued to bend and straighten, for heating, hot posts, and in the brazing and torch brazing. OFW can also be used mechanically and manually with a few changes to the equipment. Usually this process is used to weld metals such as steel, and nonferrous metals. Larger situation such as fire-resistant weld metal finish with various types of processes.

In most cases the fuel gas used was acetylene gas because it is one of the few that use oxygen for combustion and meet the requirements for the welding operation. These requirements are that the fuel has a high flame temperature, it has sufficient heat content, the spread of fire has a high rate and when the fire hits the base metal or filler, there is little chemical reaction between them. Although there are other types of gas, and although some of them have high-heat fire, they do not have the required spread of small fires. Metal that you will use this process should be prepared in advance.
